Unfortunately, Bulldog tools moved their forge to India in 2013. They do still fit the handles in England. Very sad.

Charles thanks for letting us know, what a shame! We were not aware of this. We have removed Bulldog from this list now so as not to mislead anyone. Thanks again for the information.

https://www.chillingtontoolsonline.co.uk/ look as though they use their own UK forge to make garden tools and builders’ stuff like mattocks

Sadly not. I thought just that, from their website, but they have just informed me they are forged in Thailand.

Great list! I really love the Bee bricks and bee brick planters from Green and Blue, which are definitely made in Cornwall as I’ve seen the warehouse where they mix up the concrete and do all their manufacturing. They are a great ethical company too – they started Solitary Bee week which is on right now! Their website is http://www.greenandblue.co.uk

Looking for a patio sun umbrella and while Made in UK would be great the important thing is not Made in China.

I live in Spain but there seem to be zero manufactured here. But shipping from good old blightie is not a problem.

If anyone has any ideas they would be gratefully received. Cheers

In reply to myself I found a UK company which claimed to be “Made in the UK”. It turned out that meant simple component assembly. The real manufacturing I assume was done in China, although my questions asking the country of origin were never properly answered.

I’ve bought a cheap one in the meantime and hope that soon I get the chance to upgrade to a quality British product. After all with climate change I can only see the need for sun patio umbrellas increasing.
