We produce contemporary woollens rooted in the Welsh tradition, in widths from 150 to 270cms and suitable for end uses including apparel and footwear, domestic and contract upholstery, bedspreads, blankets , cushions and throws
Today the company employs over 32 people and their fabrics are found in hotels and design led stores worldwide, on film and TV. They have even made an appearance in Dr. Who’s Tardis!
Alongside their own stock ranges the company specialize in short runs and exclusive designs for hotels, designers and specifiers and, over the years, have worked with companies as diverse as John Lewis, Heals, Liberty’s, Muji, Margaret Howell, Comme des Garcons and Mulberry who have all commissioned exclusive ranges.
Their blankets and throws have been specified both for the Celebrity Big Brother house and the Apprentice, and they’ve worked on collaborative projects with the Tate Gallery, the Victoria & Albert Museum, National Theatre Wales and the Community Foundation in Wales.
In 2008 they successfully wove the largest recorded picnic blanket in the world. This 40 x 45 metre blanket was the star of the Waitrose summer advertising campaign.
The mill has recently developed a range of fabrics (including upholstery cloths woven in Cambrian Mountains Welsh wool) chosen for the new BBC building in Cardiff.
All our fabrics are woven at our mill in Wales
We try to buy British whenever we can. We offer fabrics in 100% welsh worsted yarn for apparel & upholstery, plus a range of all British wool for home furnishings, both of these ranges are spun and dyed in the UK.
Alongside the British wools we also weave with blended yarns mixing Southern hemisphere Merino fibres for softness into both woollen and pure Lambswool yarns.
