Meet the Manufacturer – the first ever live event organised by Make it British – saw 47 fashion and textile manufacturers and 26 leading industry speakers coming together to help encourage the growth of British manufacturing. With nearly 3000 visitors flocking to The Old Truman Brewery over the course of the 2 day event, the show exceeded our wildest expectations and has had everyone begging us to let them know when we will be running the next one! Some visitors – to whom we must apologise profusely – had to queue for over an hour to get into the show, as the venue reached its capacity within minutes of opening. Our original estimation had been for around 600 people to visit over the 2 days, but on Monday, with 48 hours still to go before the event started, we had to close online registration to the trade show for fear that we would not be able to accommodate the demand for entry.

We will be following up next week with all the action from the show – but in the meantime here is a short photographic round-up.
