The Wood Life Project sell a range a beautiful children's tableware, pet bowls and a range of boards for the grown-ups.

We are Hazel and Jimmy Russell, a wife and husband team, parents to two young boys. We are based in Norfolk and manufacture entirely in the UK, using sustainably grown and harvested wood from the UK.

Founding our company was born out of concerns we had for their futures. It felt as if every day we were learning more and more about the deterioration of our planet; the fact that we are in a climate emergency, the effects of plastic pollution.

We decided to create a brand which would help change the way people buy; to consume more consciously and consider the provenance of the products they purchase.

We are passionate about ensuring our supply chain is transparent and is as ethical and sustainable as possible, to be accountable for meeting rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, accountability and transparency. We are striving towards eco-excellence and will not stand still on our journey. We will continue to innovate and find better ways to be a business which does good and gives back to our community as well as our planet.

We hope to inspire others to fly the flag for British manufacturing and we will leave as little environmental impact on the planet as possible.

We are Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and Grown in Britain (GiB) certified, as we believe that as a Brand Britain company, we must show our commitment to supporting UK sustainable businesses and provide visible assurance that we can be trusted with a transparent supply chain, giving our customers the assurance they need to trust in our brand.
