The Pesky Partridge was founded in 2017 by Lucy Kay making bespoke country clothing and accessories in tweed. Everything is designed and made by Lucy in rural Nottinghamshire. The tweed comes either from Yorkshire or is Harris tweed and all other components are sourced from other Nottinghamshire companies or within the UK. Making garments that fit each individual and are treasured for years is the aim.
Being unique should be celebrated, with this in mind I love creating every bespoke garment exactly as you imagine it so that it can be worn for years and make you feel good.
By making bespoke garments I give clients the opportunity to have input on every fabric and detail that goes in to their order. Every garment I make is born from a need for clothing that fits but is fit for purpose and fun too.
Everything is made with high quality UK sourced fabrics to provide luxury items that are a bit different.
All of my products are hand made by me on our farm in Nottinghamshire, England. I do it all- from drafting the patterns, cutting the garments and sewing them together. I love supporting other UK businesses and believe we all should try to support local as much as possible. This belief has led me to search to ensure I can source everything from either locally to me or within the UK meaning I can give my customers a higher quality product.
