For those of you who may be wondering where the name Easterkins came from, well, Easter is my surname and ‘kins’ stands for family.

What started out as a hobby, making baby and kids clothes for family, friends and loved ones became a business venture for more reasons than just the obvious; that they liked my designs and outfits.
I founded Easterkins because not only did people seem to love the outfits that I was making but also so that I could be at the helm of a business that I could run, with my ideals and ethics at the centre of its core values.

I am a lover of Planet Earth and this is reflected in both my professional and personal life. My car is a Hybrid, my studio is powered by Solar energy and I try to ensure that Easterkins is run as sustainably as possible, after all, we all need to do our bit.
I am a firm believer in ethical fashion, which basically means that Planet Earth shouldn’t have to pay for my designs, so all packaging is plastic free and eco-friendly. I’ve also partnered with Ecologi to become a climate positive workforce, offsetting my carbon footprint and planting a tree for every order placed on my website!

My Rompers, Raglan Tee’s, Harem Pants, Bucket Hats and Decorations are all handmade in the beautiful Rhondda Valleys, South Wales. My studio is also solar powered so you can be sure that renewable energy has been used to help make your order.

My plain organic tshirt blanks (used for birthday T-shirt’s etc) are currently sourced from wholesalers and are usually manufactured at factories that meet high standards of ethical and social standards in Bangladesh. However, I am hoping to work with a local British manufacturer in the future to make the t-shirts I use for embroidery.

My custom printed fabric is organic, milled and knitted in the U.K. and is also printed here in the UK.

Solid colour jerseys are organic and are from Turkey, though I buy through a wholesaler in the UK.

Embroidery thread is Madeira which meets the criteria for certification via the Global Organic Textile Standard, which I will be looking to achieve in the future. All other thread is OEKO-TEX Standard 100 so no harmful chemicals have been used.
