116 – Where are we on PPE?

In episode 114 I asked ‘PPE – can we make it in the UK?‘ and on today’s episode I thought it would be good to update you.

It has been 5 weeks since the Government put a call out for businesses to help manufacturer PPE. Since then hundreds of UK manufacturers have filled in the form on the government website and stepped up to offer their help and support. Make it British has created the British Textile Consortium to help bring together UK manufacturers that can help.

So where have we got to on UK-made PPE? This episode gives you an update and where we have got to so far and what one of the biggest challenges is when it comes to providing a long term solution to the problem.
