021 – Jenny Holloway, Fashion Enter – What I’ve Learnt from Running a Clothing Factory

Jenny Holloway Fashion Enter Clothing factory

Meet Jenny Holloway, owner of Fashion Enter, a social enterprise garment factory based in North London.

Jenny not only manufactures for small brands and start-ups, helping create samples and small production runs, but she’s also manufactured for some of the UK’s most well-known retailers – such as ASOS and M&S.

In this very frank interview, Jenny discusses how tough it was to set up a clothing factory having previously come from a background in buying. She also discusses the principles that she believes make an efficient and ethical factory.

Anyone interested in understanding more about garment making in the UK will find this interview fascinating as Jenny is truly one of the trailblazers when it comes to reshoring textile manufacturing back to the UK.

I hope you enjoy the interview.

The part return of manufacturing to UK, the only problem. No yarn manufacturing, yarn from turkey. No Machine builders, machines fro Germany and Japan. We must now take the bull by the horns, we must give the give the Youth a payable job so they can keep a family of there own. I have worked in the Textile trade for most of my working life, it is my second love in life. Training project on my kitchen table. if any one would like any details, please feel free to contact me. Regards.
