Made in UK Day - 9 March 2022

Made in UK Day - 9 March 2022

On Made in UK Day we are calling on everybody to celebrate UK makers by buying something made here in the UK.

Make it British was founded on 9th March 2011 by ex-retail buyer Kate Hills, who started a blog to champion all of the wonderful products that are made in the United Kingdom.

Over the last 10 years, makeitbritish.co.uk has been visited by more than 6.5 million people looking to buy UK-made products and search out UK manufacturers.

UK manufacturing is worth £192 billion to the UK economy and employs 2.7 million people.

More than 65 million people live in the UK. If everyone bought just one item made in the UK worth £20 on #madeinukday it would be worth £1.3 billion!
