Q: Does all of my manufacturing have to occur in the UK?

Yes, your production must take place in the UK to join as a Make it British member. However this doesn't include having to source all of your raw materials from the UK.

Q: My business is just me, am I too small to join?

Our community is made up of businesses of all different sizes! Network with like-minded businesses who share the same ethics and approach as you.

Q: I don't make clothing - Is the membership still useful for me?

Make it British is not just for the fashion and textile industry! Whether you make homewares, jewellery, ceramics or furniture - all businesses are welcome here. Our members offer all kinds of products & services. Not sure if your business is suitable? Just ask.

Q: How do I cancel if I want to leave?

We know things crop up which may mean you need to pause your membership. You can decide to cancel at any time we just say that you must contact the team at least 2 working days (Monday - Friday) before your next renewal date to give the team plenty of time to cancel your next payment.

Q: Do I need to be VAT registered to join?

Nope; in fact, if your business is not yet VAT-registered, you can benefit from our lowest membership rate of £25 + VAT a month.
