Given the thunderstorms that we are having in June (thank you British Weather), it seemed appropriate to write about Scottish knitwear for kids in this post, rather than summer frocks. And as I’ve just been introduced to Pride & Joy, who make children’s jumpers, that is what I am going to do.
Hand knitted by a team of outworkers in Scotland, Pride & Joy make kids jumpers like the ones real grannies used to make. Plus, they will make pieces to order, even an old favourite that you can’t find elsewhere.
And they do a lovely line in tank tops for little boys, which would go very well with a fine pair of British tweed trousers. I’m particularly fond of the Frank Spencer-esque number shown above.
They do stuff for girls too, including this cute little cardi with Scotti dogs on it.
All in all a great company that are doing their thing to support UK manufacturing and British made products. Well done Pride & Joy.
