S.E.H. Kelly scour the UK for the only best manufacturers, now they are offering a glimpse inside the factories where their truly British menswear comes to life
S.E.H. Kelly is one of those British brands that Make it British has a great fondness for. Everything that they do is with integrity, and the attention to detail that goes into producing their garments is second to none. They scour the British Isles looking for the best manufacturers that they can find for every part of their collection, from mills in Yorkshire, to button makers in the Midlands and shirt manufacturers in Kent. It is their commitment to working exclusively with British manufacturers that I believe has set a precedent for other new brands who are now looking closer to home to produce their collections.
For those that are interested in the provenance of their garments, S.E.H. Kelly have a great section on their website entitled Makers, which they are gradually adding to with photos and vignettes about the British manufacturers behind their label. Some of the photos from their shirt maker in Kent can be seen here.
Initially selling exclusively online, S.E.H Kelly have recently moved to a workshop in Shoreditch that can accommodate visitors. This means that you can now pop in and see the quality of the garments up close as well as trying them on before placing an order. Well worth taking a look.
The S.E.H. Kelly workshop is at 1 Cleve Workshops, Boundary Street, London E2 7JD. If you are thinking of paying a visit it is probably best to give them a call first 020 3397 0449
