Designer supports British manufacturers with a map depicting location of British suppliers

Margaret Howell documents the best of British manufacturers

Margaret Howell has produced a stunning map, currently displayed in the window of eponymous London store, showing all of the British manufacturers that the company uses.

Many of our favourites are on there, such as Fox Brothers flannel, Adamley silk printers and Harris Tweed, along with a few others that we hadn’t heard of.

If you can’t get to the Margaret Howell store to see the map, there is a copy on their website too.

Based in Bristol, Bristol Blue Glass Bedminster is on the site of the historic Bedminster Glass Works, founded in 1716. Glass is still hand-blown using traditional Lead crystal batch, exactly as it has been for the last 297 years. Decanters, wine-glasses, bowls, vases, and all sorts of decorative and useful items are produced by our master craftsmen. prestige items have silver fittings, again hand-applied by our Birmingham silversmith. Our glass is not only the highest quality, but each item is destined to become a heritage piece, passed down through the generations.
