What we do:
Our Somerset based team hand cuts and makes a wide variety of luxury products from sheepskin, leather & cowhide. This includes fashion (Handbags, Coats & accessories) through lifestyle (beanbags, cushions, rugs) to utility sheepskin insoles, hot water bottle covers, aprons etc.)
Eco credentials:
All of the resources we use are thoroughly resourced and provenanced, our skins are 100% an upcycled byproduct of the food industry, from a minimum of silver-level (mostly gold level) accredited tanneries. Throughout our production workshop, offices, and logistics try hard to use British (ideally locally) resourced supplies, No plastics are used in our packaging or manufacturing processes.
Like everyone, there is much more we can do, but our eco-responsibility is one of OB's key pillars.

Lifetime guarantee - ALL Owen Barry products come with a no quibble repair or replacement guarantee - YES that means a lifetime, we have been manufacturing here in our Somerset workshop for nearly 75 years and we don't intend going anywhere else, so ours really is a Lifetime Guarantee worth having!
Quality - Yes, we know everybody says it, but we also know that you can't give a lifetime guarantee without exceptional quality.
Service - Friendly service - We have a great team here at OB who are passionate about what we do, we love our products and want our customers to love them too.
We are thrilled to show people around the workshop (by appointment please) and demonstrate our skills.

Everything is hand-cut and made in our own Somerset factory, as it has been for the last 70+ years based on the site of our original tannery in Street, Somerset..
We resource sheepskin, leather and cowhide skins from a variety of British and European resources, all of the skins are provenanced thoroughly by our long-established and knowledgable team.
