Founded in 1987 by Christine Astley the business is now owned and run by her daughter Caroline. The business started with 1 machine in the garage, with an alarm wired up to the bedroom so Christine was able to run production 24/7 if necessary. Now based at an ex brewery in the heart of Pembrokeshire, we have over 30 of those machines alone.
We've found from experience that dealing with suppliers overseas means that you need to order well in advance, or pay the earth for air freight if you're in a rush. By producing everything in house it means we have full control over not just the quality control measures, but also the time and priority that orders take. British-made doesn't just mean quality, it also means speed.
Our Current factory is located in an ex brewery in Pembrokeshire, West Wales. Not far from the Preseli mountains to the north, or the sandy beaches of Tenby and Saundersfoot to the south.
Where possible we aim to use UK Based companies, We have recently started sourcing yarn for the woven labels from a company in Spain who produce Recycled yarn. For packaging we use a few British companies and have begun making the switch to either bags made from recycled materials, recyclable bags, or biodegradable bags, depending on the product and what is best suited.
