Grenson have been making shoes continuously since 1866 and they are only in their third factory in all that time.
Apart from their moccasin collection, all of their shoes are “Goodyear Welted”. This is a shoemaking technique that was invented in the mid 1800’s and involves many individual processes, but the key benefit is that the shoes are strong and last a long time.
Not all Grenson shoes are made in the UK, but they are clear on their website which of their collections are made here, and which are made offshore.
For UK-made shoes check out their G:One and G:Zero collections which are made entirely in their own factory.
They offer a bespoke service and Grenson:LAB. This is a service where they will make one of their styles to your own specification. You can choose the colours, sole, stitching, eyelets and laces. They also offer this service to retail partners so that they can create exclusive styles for their own collections.
Grenson also offer a made in England sneaker made using traditional high-quality leathers, including calf, nubuck and suede and are stitched onto the Italian made soles.
Manufactured in Northampton, UK.
