FizzArrow was established in 2013. I have always made things and been fascinated how items go together. I used to make my school bags on my Nanny's 1960's Singer 401G, out of bits of material we had kicking around. My background is 3-d design and graphics. Leatherwork followed on from that and the skills I had learned over the previous years have proved to be useful.
To make products in leather is such a pleasure. To imagine an item, flat, in pieces, 2-d. Then to cut out those pieces and assemble them and make into a finished product, is such a wonderful thing to do. I hand stitch and machine stitch. Every day is different, exciting.
FizzArrow has a small on-line Store. But the business is evolving, I also make small quantities of corporate goods & more recently bespoke, one off designs for my clients, making them something unique. I get asked to make all kinds of items, that’s what makes it interesting, you build a relationship with clients, to understand what they require and hopefully ask enough questions, to ensure what you make for them, is what they want.
The list of FizzArrow products I have made is quite varied. It ranges from bags, journals, belts, small wallets and purses, dog collars, rucksacks, satchels, shoppers, small zip pouches, greetings cards, key fobs, glasses cases, luggage tags, beanbags to passport cases, just to name a few!
I often get asked why FizzArrow? Fizz a derivative of Viv & favourite drink. Fletcher my surname means Arrow maker.
My mission is to design and make products that fulfil the need of my clients, and for that product to be come a cherished leather companion. For life.
It’s a passion, simple as that.
