Every pen shown on our website www.ConwayStewart.com has been made in England using traditional techniques, combining timeless designs with British craftsmanship and only the highest quality materials.
Our commitment to quality and tradition stems from our team’s experience over many years working with some of the most prestigious names in British manufacturing – names that are recognised worldwide as the epitome of English craftsmanship. As well as making Conway Stewart pens, we also make bespoke pens for some of the world’s most exclusive brands including Rolls Royce, Christys’ London, Ashmolean Museum, David Brown Automotive, and Vanwall cars to name just a few.
We can design and make virtually any type of luxury bespoke pen either for an individual as a one-off, or for companies to celebrate a special anniversary who may want to order hundreds. We have also made pens famous films. For example, 20 Conway Stewart pens were made for use in the first Kingsman Film; The Secret Service, with a very special Conway Stewart pen made for Michael Caine's character that ultimately was used to kill him! Another very special pen was used in the Oscar winning film "The Darkest Hour" about Winston Churchill. A Conway Stewart Pen was also used in the film "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade" and Sean Connery’s character Henry Jones Sr., uses the lever-fill mechanism to squirt ink in eye of a Nazi tank operator, and the lovely phrase is spoken "Look Henry, the pen is mightier than the sword."!

Most of our accessories from ink blotters, desk trays, pen polishing cloths and 2-pen leather pen cases are made in Great Britain; even our ink is made in the UK by one of the oldest ink manufacturers in the world.
The majority of our fountain pens are fitted with 18ct gold nibs as standard. Also these nibs can be custom ground to a customer's specification. Most of our pens are made from beautiful coloured acrylic resins with Sterling Silver or 9ct gold trims, and can also be engraved with a name, initials or special message. We also make pens from Sterling Silver, 23ct gold-plated silver, ebonite, and can make bespoke pens in most materials that can be shaped and milled.
