Waging war on the ubiquitous fleece, Acre & Holt offer a sustainable alternative, using the finest Scottish tweed and 100% cotton ticking in our working women's gilets. We have worked with the award-winning landscape designer and gardener Marian Boswall to design the working women's gilet - a long line waistcoat, fully zipped, with reinforced pockets to be the perfect gardening clothing.
Our garden wrap was designed in collaboration with Georgie Newbery, the powerhouse that is Common Farm Flowers - to keep all your garden tools safe, your phone dry and your lower back moving with ease!
Inspired by the English countryside, these clothes are designed for walking, working and, essentially, living in! We are proud to make all our garments in either London or Frome and continue to make our trouser suits and coat dresses up to order, to reduce waste and carbon footprint.
The tweeds are manufactured in the Scottish Borders at Andrew Eliot Ltd, who weaves our own bespoke designs. Some stock tweeds come from one mill on Harris that blends lambswool with Harris wool and Abraham Moon's in Yorkshire. The ticking is 100% cotton and comes from Chapman's.
The leather work is done for us with a Somerset family firm of bag makers and all our tailoring and production is done in Somerset and London.
