Metallic Elephant Limited manufacture hot foil machines and produce Magnesium dies and Hot foil brass blocks / printing plates. Our machines are popular for leather embossing.
Metallic Elephant was established in late 2007 by Karl & Ros French. Karl, a long time employee of John T Marshall, a well respected name in the hot foil machine industry and Ros’ background in traditional printing. Both had a love of the old machinery and techniques and wanted to preserve that industry in the UK. Metallic Elephant was formed to maintain and preserve the J T Marshall machines but there was always a desire to produce their own machines to the same exacting standards – which they now do!
Metallic Elephant machines are in companies small and large, home users to large high end retailers. Their machines are developed with the user in mind through many years of knowledge and feedback from customers.
Metallic Elephant have a modern purpose built factory, tucked away in North Essex, with 7 cnc’s and a cnc lathe producing a large percentage of parts in house. Any other parts are sourced locally. With a small highly skilled team using modern methods but traditional skills to hand build all their presses. Each machine is personally checked by Karl before it leaves the premises.
As all parts are made in house Metallic Elephant have complete control of manufacturing , and can quickly react to customer requirements and also work on one off special projects.
