V-MARQ ran a competition to win a GPS Tracker at our MTM 2015 event – and we are pleased to announce the winner!
At our Meet the Manufacturer event in June, one our sponsors, V-MARQ, ran a competition for visitors to win a GPS Tracker.
V-MARQ is an independent certification scheme, founded by Lucideon CICS, that verifies the origin of manufacture of a product. V-MARQ was therefore a perfect fit as sponsor for an event which promotes British manufacturing and we were excited to have them involved in MTM 2015.
Shaun Bainbridge of Lucideon CICS, said:
“We believe that verifying where a product is made positively influences purchasing decisions and highlights important attributes such as sustainable production, quality and ethics.”
We couldn’t agree more!
Lucideon intends V-MARQ to be a tool to support regional and national manufacturing, something very valuable to our UK manufacturers.
You can imagine our delight at Make it British, when Lucideon told us that they had drawn a winner for the competition and it was Talia Hussain, owner of Ramnation.
For those unfamiliar with Talia, Ramnation is a British woollen clothing manufacturer with a strong company ethos of using local materials and supporting local industries. We interviewed Talia earlier in the summer about her brand and know just how passionate she is about supporting British materials, so we know how much this prize would have meant to her and what she is trying to do with Ramnation.
Talia said of her win:
“Being able to prove that your product is made in the country you say it is, is extremely important, not only for customer confidence but also as an acknowledgement to the support that businesses, like Ramnation, show towards British materials and industries.”
We are excited that such a positive scheme is now helping one of the many brands we know work so hard to support British manufacturing.
