Made in Britain: It’s happening more than you think (Sunday Times Style)
British-made brands are finally getting the recognition that they deserve, as seen in a four page article in the Sunday Times Style this week. Lots of our favourites were given a feature, including Cambridge Satchel Company, Mackintosh, Barbour and John Smedley.
James Eden, from Manchester manufacturer Cooper & Stollbrand was quoted as saying ‘People want more understated, credible garments that are steeped in authenticity’ – we couldn’t agree more.
The British Fashion Council has announced plans for a new Menswear show, entitled London Collections: Men that will be held from the 15th to 17th June 2012. Amongst the British brands showing at the event will be Margaret Howell, Aquascutum and E.Tautz.
