Burgess and Leigh, which makes the famous blue and white Burleigh pottery, will continue production throughout the renovation, which will see its building turned into a tourist attraction that will help to tell the story of Burleigh ware production over the last 150 years. The Prince’s Regeneration Trust (PRT) acquired the building last year to ensure the continued production of Burleigh at Middleport in Stoke-on-Trent, helping to save local skills and ensuring the future of the site and its historic contents.

Future plans for the pottery include creating a community and education space, workshops for local businesses, a café, a gallery and a heritage visitor centre.

For more information about the renovation go to The Prince’s Regeneration Trust website.
