How to prepare for garment sampling and production with Tanya Dimitrova
For a new designer wanting to produce a collection, it can be daunting to know where to start with sampling and production. What is the process? And how do you ensure your designs are production ready? We speak to Tanya Dimitrova, expert in garment manufacture, to share her advice.
Tanya has a huge amount of experience in garment manufacture. She began making clothes for clients at 16 years old and opened her own studio at 18. Trained in Bulgaria, and then at the London College of Fashion, she now runs a sampling and production business in West London. Producing for High Street designers, through to bespoke pieces for individual clients, Tanya’s skilled team of pattern cutters and machinists manufacture high quality garments in a wide variety of fabrics, from fine silks to leather.
