Learn how to build your made in Britain business at the Make it British Forum
Our third Make it British Forum, the yearly conference that we tour around the country, will be coming to the historical textile town of Huddersfield in West Yorkshire, on 2nd November 2018.
Are you struggling to raise awareness for your business and feel you’re battling against a tide of cheap imports?
- Finding marketing your products with limited time, and on a tight budget, challenging?
- Wondering what value customers place on the fact that your product is made in Britain?
- Worrying about what effect Brexit will have on businesses that manufacture in the UK?
If any of the above apply to you, then read on…
I’m hosting the Make it British Forum, a gathering of fashion and textile industry professionals, offering presentations, panel discussions, networking opportunities and the chance to learn how to make the most of your British-made label.
This year’s theme is ‘Building a Made in Britain Business’. We toyed with the idea of ‘Business post Brexit’ but that just sounded far too political, which is definitely not what we’re all about!
The aim of the event is to help companies that manufacture in Britain to get better at promoting what they do, especially if they’re on a tight budget.
There’s a lot of value in a made in the UK label, but just slapping a Union Jack on everything and hoping that will give people a reason to buy from you, is just not enough.
You need to become good at telling your story so that potential customers are attracted to your business for more than just its made in Britain tag.
So I’ll be pulling together a panel of experts to help explain to you HOW you can do that.
Whether you’re a manufacturer, a brand, or even just someone thinking of starting out and who wants to make in the UK.
The Make it British Forum is a one day conference which will provide you with the knowledge and expertise you need to successfully promote and sell a brand that is made in Britain.
- Gain insights into marketing strategies that other brands are using to promote their ‘Britishness’ without resorting to waving a Union Jack flag!
- Learn what buyers look for when selecting suppliers and how you can get their attention.
- Find out how to stand out in an ever crowded marketplace and use your provenance to its full effect.
If you are a business owner, senior decision maker or entrepreneur within the UK fashion and textile industry then the Forum is THE conference for you.
The previous Forums have welcomed British brand owners, manufacturers, buyers, consultants, suppliers and start-ups.
All have gained knowledge to help them develop their British-made business no matter where they are on their journey. The diverse range of industry professionals makes it the perfect conference to grow your network, learn from your peers and connect with other like-minded businesses.
Whether you currently manufacture in the UK, or hope to do so in the future, this unique event will inspire you to take action.
