Our third Make it British Forum, the yearly conference that we tour around the country, will be coming to the historical textile town of Huddersfield in West Yorkshire, on 2nd November 2018.

I’m hosting the Make it British Forum, a gathering of fashion and textile industry professionals, offering presentations, panel discussions, networking opportunities and the chance to learn how to make the most of your British-made label.

This year’s theme is ‘Building a Made in Britain Business’. We toyed with the idea of ‘Business post Brexit’ but that just sounded far too political, which is definitely not what we’re all about!

The aim of the event is to help companies that manufacture in Britain to get better at promoting what they do, especially if they’re on a tight budget.

There’s a lot of value in a made in the UK label, but just slapping a Union Jack on everything and hoping that will give people a reason to buy from you, is just not enough.

You need to become good at telling your story so that potential customers are attracted to your business for more than just its made in Britain tag.

So I’ll be pulling together a panel of experts to help explain to you HOW you can do that.
