New ‘Made in Britain’ category at the BTAA awards recognises best UK-made accessory
I am delighted that Make it British has been invited onto the judging panel at the British Travel and Accessories Association (BTAA) awards, which has this year introduced a ‘Made in Britain’ category. Other categories include ‘Luggage & Travel’, ‘Fashion Handbags’, ‘Small Leather Goods’, ‘Fashion Jewellery’ and ‘Fashion Accessories’ (scarves, hats, gloves, umbrellas, belts etc), as well as the prestigious Accessory of the Year award.
The BTAA is part of the British Allied Trades Federation which represents the interests of over 2,600 companies in the design, manufacture and supply of giftware, travel goods and finishing industries. It is great that the BTAA have come to appreciate the growing demand for a Made in Britain product, and have introduced this new category at their awards. The Made in Britain award is open for businesses to submit any type of accessory, including handbags, luggage, jewellery, gloves, hats, scarves and belts. I am looking forward to seeing all the great entries.
The winners of the BTAA Fashion Accessory of the Year Awards will be announced on Sunday 6th September at Autumn Fair at Birmingham NEC.
The deadline for entries to the awards has been extended to Friday August 7th, so if you make any type of accessory in the UK now is your chance to get your entry in!
